Nothing beats a good old transformation show so we’re in a (voyeuristic) fever of anticipation at the news that our very own Brit TV presenter Louise Roe is to front a US TV programme called ‘Plain Jane’.

To be screened over here on Sky, each episode will follow one ‘plain-looking’ girl (their words, not ours) as they get a complete makeover – including self-confidence training – under Roe’s guidance.

Roe, here looking rather fabulous in Brit label PPQ, was a presenter on The Clothes Show, Britain’s Next Top Model, and Project Catwalk before moving Stateside. She’s a red-carpet regular reporting for E! Entertainment.

The lucky subject (or should that be victim?) of the show, made for US channel CW (also the home of Gossip Girl and 90210), will build up to a date with a guy she has a crush on – who’s unaware of her grand makeover plans.

Viewers will get to gawp at their style transformation and new wardrobe, as well as a series of ‘confidence-building exercises’.

    We can’t wait!
