The 2009 British Fashion Awards will see a one-off prize given to an individual who embodies the spirit of Londons style and you get to have your say
To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the British Fashion Council, this year’s British Fashion Awards will include a very special one-off prize – and they need you to help decide the winner.
The London 25 Award, will recognise an individual who encapsulates the style and spirit of London, and could be seen as a worldwide ambassador for the UK fashion industry.
So, who’s up for this most covetable of trophies? Well, perhaps predictably, perhaps not, the five frontrunners were announced today as Alexander McQueen, Alexa Chung, Joan Burstein, Kate Moss and Vivienne Westwood.
But if you don’t agree with this famous five battling it out for the prize, then we’ve been informed that names such as Matthew Williamson, Christopher Kane, Sienna Miller, Stella McCartney and Erin O’Connor aren’t far behind…

The winner will be announced during the British Fashion Awards ceremony at the Royal Courts of Justice in London, on 9 December.
