  • Fashion industry recognised in New Year's Honours list

    Anya Hindmarch has been awarded an MBE in the Queen’s New Year’s Honours list.

    Recognised for her contribution to the British fashion industry, the designer who created the iconic I’m Not A Plastic Bag, commented on the prestigious achievement, ‘It is a real honour to be awarded an MBE. I am so proud to be British and am very fortunate to have started my business in London.’

    She added, ‘To go to the palace and receive an award from the Queen is a real pinch-yourself moment for me.’

    Hindmarch is not the only style industry name to be recognised. Hilary Riva, chairman of the British Fashion Council will be honoured with an OBE, while from the beauty world, Nicky Kinnaird of Space NK will receive an MBE.
