Kidnapped Reigh Boss reunited with mother
The seven-year-old girl who was allegedly kidnapped by her father in America has been rescued in an FBI sting operation and reunited with her mother.
Reigh Boss, knicknamed Snooks, was snatched by her fugitive father, Clark Rockefeller, during a supervised visit to Boston last Sunday.
Reigh, who lives with her mother, Sandra Boss in London, was found unharmed in a Baltimore apartment. Ms Boss is said to be ‘overjoyed’ after being reunited with her daughter.
Rockefeller has been arrested on kidnapping charges and is expected to appear in court today.
The international manhunt had proved taxing at first, after US detectives discovered there was no record of Rockefeller’s existence before 1995, as he had used various aliases over the years.
The FBI were tipped off by the estate agent who let Rockefeller the Baltimore apartment. He was watched for five hours by detectives before being lured from the property after receiving a phonecall saying his 26ft catamaran, moored at a nearby marina, was taking on water.
He was quickly arrested and his daughter removed from the building.
In a telephone call to her mother following the rescue, Reigh said: ‘Daddy left me alone but these nice people came to get me.’
