Renée Zellweger has been named Hasty Pudding Woman Of The Year
Renée Zellweger might not be up for an Oscar this year, but at least she’s been given the Harvard Hasty Pudding Woman of the Year Award.
Every year the Havard undergraduate drama troupe pick a famous actor and actress to receive the gong, and this year it was the turn of Renée.
The Chicago actress rode in a silver convertible Bentley as she waved and signed autographs for fans at the parade thrown in her honour.
Then followed the traditional ‘roast’, where the prize-winner is made fun of before they receive their trophy.
Renée took it all in good jest and turned the teasing back on her hosts, calling the pudding pot award she received ‘the nicest doorstop I’ve ever had.’
‘I have always had great faith that no matter the state of the union, that America’s future was sound so long as Harvard continued to deliver us her brightest and best,’ she added.
‘And after what I have experienced and witnessed today, I can tell you that I’m going to really have to re-think all that.’
James Franco will be honored as the Hasty Pudding Man of the Year next week.
