Peter says he doesn't want a penny of Katie Price's £30 million fortune
In the aftermath of Katie Price parting ways with the management she and Peter Andre shared in a possible move to protect her £30 million fortune, he has insisted he doesn’t want a penny anyway.
The Australian singer has revealed he signed a pre-nup before he married Katie, a.k.a Jordan – and it was his idea to do so.
Peter said: ‘I wouldn’t get a penny if we broke up because I signed a pre-nuptial – and it was my idea to do it. I insisted on it.’
A one of his good friends told the Mirror: ‘Say what you want about Peter, he is a good guy and integrity and honesty are important to him.
‘He’s from a good family with proper values and when you meet his folks you understand the man. A lot of people in music, especially those who, like Pete, had success when they were really young, are conceited and arrogant.
‘But Pete’s not like that. He’s got no ego on him to speak of. If anything, he lacks confidence in his ability and doesn’t realise what a good musician he is.
‘He’s a really decent guy who has had to put up with some of his wife’s excesses and occasional coarseness because he loves her.
The friend added: ‘I’m sure he still loves her and is just acting now out of desperation that things went a bit dysfunctional. If he could have things back on track I’m sure he would.
‘But he won’t take her for her money or do the dirty on her, he’s just not that type of guy.’
Another close friend of Peter’s, Nikos Christophi, has revealed that the singer is very concerned about how much he will see his children.
Peter told him: ‘The kids mean everything to me, they are my life.’
And Nikos, who spent five hours with Peter at his villa in Cyprus, where he fled after the split, said:
‘He’s not over the moon about things. He was very solemn and didn’t want to talk about things. Peter’s very sad and quiet.’
