Jennifer Hudson making first video after family murders
Jennifer Hudson has announced some upcoming public performances since the brutal murder of her mother, brother and nephew – but the singer actually started work again this week, by shooting a video for her new single.
If This Isn’t Love comes from the singer’s self-titled album, which has garnered her four Grammy nominations, including Best R&B album, and is expected to debut in LA on 9 February.
Jennifer is scheduled to sing the American national anthem at Sunday’s Super Bowl, marking her first public performance since her mother, brother and nephew were shot dead in October.
Hudson – who starred as Carrie Bradshaw’s assistant in Sex and the City: The Movie – is also expected to perform at the Grammy Awards on 8 February at the Staples Center in LA.
‘So much has happened but she’s ready [to perform again],’ a source told People. ‘It’s a new year, she’s excited about performing. She knew it was time.’
