Check out this behind-the-scenes video as preparations get underway for the extravagant Sonia Rykiel for H&M show in Paris!
Attention fashion fans! Get a sneak preview of the exciting Sonia Rykiel for H&M show in Paris, which is set to take place next week.
Come 1 December, that iconic Parisian landmark, the Grand Palais, will be transformed into a high-fashion ‘fairytale’ – as it becomes the stylish stage on which Sonia Rykiel’s hugely anticipated collection for H&M will be debuted.
Following its phenomenally successful Jimmy Choo collaboration, high street haven H&M is treating us to yet another affordable designer collection – and we can’t wait to see it!
As we speak, Ms Rykiel is putting the finishing touches to her Paris fantasy-land, which will include a 25-metre Eiffel Tower in the centre, entirely covered in twinkling Christmas lights.
Event producer Etienne Russo talks us through the concept behind the show and gives us a glimpse backstage in this sneak peek video – describing how they attempted to make the whole production as ‘surreal as possible‘.
Think giant six-metre poodles and rabbits, balloon trees and models on floats entering through a crumbling Arc de Triomphe…
And not only will the lucky audience get to experience the extravagant set, they’ll also be treated to temporary bars, cafes and even a boutique – which will sell Sonia Rykiel for H&M lingerie to raise money for UNICEF.
But, the best part of all, is that even those of us not fortunate enough to attend will get to experience the Rykiel magic – as the whole event is being broadcast live on hm.com!
