Kylie, Mischa and Dita take to the front row at Couture Fashion Week
The A-list were out in force for day three of Couture Fashion Week, with stars from film, stage and screen all taking their places on the front rows.
At Jean Paul Gaultier, Kylie Minogue sparked a flashbulb frenzy, as she arrived to support the designer, a long-term collaborator and friend.
Gaultier’s spring 2006 couture collection provided many of the costumes for the petite pop star’s KylieX2008 tour, and perhaps she was hunting for inspiration for the next, as she took to the front row alongside her stylist William Baker.
Revealing the age-spanning appeal of France’s enfant terrible, alonside the 40-year-old Minogue, was the eternally elegant, Catherine Deneuve, who’s in her 60th year, beside twenty-something Lou Doillon.
The OC actress could be considered a professional show-goer of late, racking up the front rows, in a series of barely-there frocks. She continued this theme last night, in a one-armed midnight blue sequin number’ a sharp contrast to her front row companion, Ms Von Teese, who wrapped up in a ruffled skirt suit.
Ending the day at Valentino, Brit actress Emily Blunt joined Bond beauty Olga Kurylenko and Michelle Yeoh to view the debut of the label’s latest creative designers, Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli.
The real star of the show though was Valentino Garavani himself, who took a ringside seat to witness the debut of his latest successors.
Speaking backstage following the show, the iconic designer seemed suitably impressed, ‘I have to tell you, they did a very good job. It is a collection that is perfect for this very moment. It was quite emotional to see all my clothes, done by these people who loved me for 12 years, and they are really sensational.’
