Owen Wilson rushed to hospital after allegedly slashing wrists and overdosing on pills
Owen Wilson was rushed to hospital this weekend after an alleged suicide attempt. The actor was reportedly found by one of his brothers after slashing one of his wrists and overdosing on prescription drugs.
Wilson, who has suffered from depression in the past, has since been visited at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles by his parents and brothers, Andrew and Luke. A spokesperson for the hospital insisted that the star arrived at the hospital in ‘good condition’, but refused to comment on the reason behind his admission.
Police officers confirmed that they had responded to a ‘medical assistance call’ at Wilson’s home and that ‘the person was transported to a local hospital where they are being treated’.
Last night, Wilson released a statement to the media in which he neither confirmed or denied the reports, but asked for the press to allow him some privacy: ‘I respectfully ask that the media allow me to receive care and heal in private during this difficult time.’
