Leona Lewis swaps Hackney for Hollywood with new £1.5 million villa
Even though she said she’d never give up her East End roots, it was only a matter of time before Leona Lewis embraced the glamorous Hollywood lifestyle – and she’s done just that with a new £1.5 million home.
But we’re not losing the lovely Leona completely – she’ll be renting her new flash pad for £7,000 a month while she’s recording her new album in the States.
And while Leona lives the life of luxury in Tinseltown, her electrician boyfriend Lou Al-Chamaa will still live in the couple’s £120,000 two-bed Hackney flat.
Leona will split her time between London and LA, where her new plush pad is situated close to her mentor Simon Cowell’s £10 million mansion.
The new pad has its own swimming pool and outside bar, while the inside of the property has been furnished with flat-screen televisions and a leather sofa.
Leona Lewis shot to fame when she won the third series of The X Factor in 2006.
She instantly bagged a £1 million recording contract with Cowell’s management company, going on to sign a further £5 million five-album deal.
Her debut, A Moment Like This, became the fastest-selling UK single ever, selling 50,000 copies within an hour of its release.
The follow-up, Bleeding Love, then reached the number one spot in 30 countries and her debut album, Spirit, sold more than 6.5million copies and was the fastest-selling album of 2007.
OK, she’s probably earned herself a little bit of luxury!
