Jade Goody's cancer diary, Forever in My Heart, is 'love letter' to sons - to be published by HarperCollins
Jade Goody’s cancer diary has been snapped up by publisher HarperCollins and will go on sale after she passes away.
Called Forever in My Heart, Jade reportedly wrote the memoir as a ‘love letter’ to her sons, who, along with the charity Marie Curie Cancer Care, are likely to benefit from profits raised from its sale.
‘This is Jade in her own words,’ HarperCollins’ managing director, Belinda Budge, told the Daily Mail.
‘It is impossible not to be moved by her heart-warming voice which comes through loud and clear on every page of this last diary.
‘This emotional book tells a fascinating story of our time, a story of a woman who rose to fame as a controversial reality TV star and has now won admiration in the eyes of many for the fortitude with which she is facing terminal cancer.’
Although Jade’s friends and family have been happy to talk to the press during her illness, when her mother, Jackiey, left the family home yesterday, she refused to comment on her daughter’s current condition, while husband Jack also stayed quiet.
Her publicist, Max Clifford, instead told reporters: ‘She’s been sleeping. I understand that will get deeper.’
