  • Amy Winehouse set to return to rehab

Amy Winehouse just can’t seem to shake off her demons – and now the troubled singer is reportedly heading back to rehab.

‘Amy has admitted she needs to check into rehab again,’ one insider revealed.

‘There are too many temptations for her in the UK — people around her in London are making it impossible for her to stay clean for any length of time.

‘Her management had considered flying her to a clinic in Israel but are now looking further afield. They are assessing a clinic in Cape Town in South Africa.’

It’s one place she said she’d never go – but perhaps it really is the best place for her.

UPDATE: Amy Winehouse’s rep has denied rumours, sparked by a report in The Sun, that Amy is returning to rehab.

In a statement, she said: ‘Amy’s doing well. She is not going back to rehab at this time.’

Winehouse has been photographed looking decidedly under-the-weather, with scabs on her skin, which led some people to believe she still has problems with drugs.

Her rep has denied this, and put it down to her skin disease, saying: ‘The problem is that her face looks bad because of impetigo — it’s not a nice thing, but it’s not related to drugs. It’s a bacterial infection.’

She added that, for now, Amy is ‘having time off, recording a bit at her home studios, about to go back into the studio properly and working towards her husband’s freedom.’
