Meghan wore something from her wedding day to Archie’s christening

Although baby Archie's christening was done without much fanfare this weekend (even the Queen didn't attend), Meghan and Harry still made sure it was very special, from dressing their son in a christening gown passed down the generations, to paying small tributes to Princess Diana.

You might also have missed the fact that the Duchess of Sussex also nodded to her own wedding day, by wearing the diamond earrings she wore then.

The Cartier stud earrings are reportedly worth £12k, and matched the wedding tiara - also by Cartier - which she borrowed from the Queen.

This way she tied together two significant events in her life. She teamed the earrings with a super elegant white Dior ensemble, a bit of a departure from her usual go-to fashion house: Givenchy.

It's traditional for royal mothers to wear white to the christening of their children, and Kate wore her favourite Alexander McQueen coat dress to Prince Louis' christening just last year.

The royal couple are yet to officially reveal who Archie's godparents are, but there are rumours surrounding the identity of his godfather.

So watch this space.

Penny grew up in France and studied languages and law at the Sorbonne Nouvelle University in Paris before moving to the UK for her MA in multimedia journalism at Bournemouth University. She moved to the UK permanently and has never looked back (though she does go back regularly to stock up on cheese and wine).

Although she's always loved fashion - she used to create scrapbooks of her favourite trends and looks, including Sienna Miller and Kate Moss' boho phase - her first job was at MoneySavingExpert.com, sourcing the best deals for everything from restaurants to designer sales.

However she quit after two years to follow her true passion, fashion journalism, and after many years of internships and freelance stints at magazines including Red, Cosmopolitan, Stylist and Good Housekeeping, landed her dream job as the Digital Fashion Editor at Marie Claire UK.

Her favourite part of the job is discovering new brands and meeting designers, and travelling the world to attend events and fashion shows. Seeing her first Chanel runway IRL at Paris Fashion Week was a true pinch-me moment.
