SEE stars Stateside get a slice of Matthew Williamson's H&M launch
New York’s stylistas were all aboard Matthew Williamson’s fashion boat yesterday, as the designer hosted a nautically-themed H&M launch party.
Taking place on a yacht, the designer called on Hollywood faces and fashionistas alike to set sail on the style vessel, to celebrate his first ever collection for the high street giant.
Leading the evening’s considerable model quota, Daria Werbowy proved the perfect poster girl for Williamson’s high street style, slipping into the splash print sequin dress, a number already spotted on actress Ginnifer Goodwin earlier this month.
Helena Christensen looked glowing and set for summer, in a folksy printed minidress, teamed with gold flat sandals, while staying on the boho theme, Lucy Liu stepped out in an embroidered black tunic dress, dressed up with towering nude peep-toes.
On a more casual note, and Leo DiCaprio’s girl, Bar Rafaeli, may have been dressed down, but her ripped jeans gave a subtle nod to this season’s hottest denim trend – distressed.
But it was Mary Kate Olsen who really shocked us all with her fashion choice.
Perhaps inspired by Williamson’s vibrant colour palette, the actress ditched her signature dark layers, and embraced brights, with an indigo loose jacket covering her little black dress. It even looked like she’d reached for the fake tan! Bravo Ms Olsen, we like!
