  • Royal Ascot's annual fashion show has arrived, showcasing the best of British design

Showcasing all the fabulosity that is British design, a train of suited and booted (or rather, hatt-ed and gown-ed) girls trotted down the runway at Royal Ascot’s annual fashion show this week, in a show-stopping display that drew crowds big enough to give even the horses a run for their (odds on) money.

Proving that the historic meet is far from out of touch despite a much-publicised to-do over the up-ante’d Enclosure dress code, Ascot went fashion-forward with a hand-picked selection of designers from the infamously avant guard Vivienne Westwood to London girl Amanda Wakeley.

The make-up, courtesy of RMK was ‘lightly sculpted cheeks and vibrant lip colours’ – from blue eyes at Todd Lynn to orange lips at Giles Deacon – whilst Toni & Guy saw to the perfectly coiffed hair to complement milliner Stephen Jones’ fabulous creations.

This takes dress-envy to a whole new level.
