  • London Fashion Week kicks off in style

London Fashion Week has finally arrived, and with a stylish new home at Somerset House, its 25th birthday to celebrate and the most exciting schedule for years, it looks set to be the best on record.

Star spot of the day: She might be a New Yorker now, but Alexa Chung jetted back to Britain, just in time for London Fashion Week. She hit the PPQ front row, to join Fearne Cotton, Peaches Geldof and Destiny’s Child’s Michelle Williams.

Debate of the Day: Mark Fast sparked debate amongst fashion-watchers, when he sent size 12 and 14 models down his spring/summer 2010 runway. The show’s stylist reportedly resigned over his choice of muses.

Trend spy: Expect to be in the pink come spring 2010 – after Preen tapped bubblegum shades for its latest collection, Danielle Scutt presented dresses in the same Pepto Bismol hue during her London Fashion Week show.

Dress of the Day: Expect Jenny Packham’s sparkling minidresses to be winging their way to Hollywood’s hottest red carpets soon.
