Leona Lewis set to take on Kate Moss with new Topshop collection
Leona Lewis is set to take on Kate Moss at the tills with her very own Topshop fashion collection.
The X Factor winner is turning into a bona fide celebrity these days, thanks to her chart-topping album and her very own clothing line would be the icing on a very desirable cake.
Although nothing is yet set in stone, Leona has a meeting with Topshop boss Sir Philip Green later this month when the planned collection is due to be discussed.
‘Philip and Leona have a dinner booked in later this month,’ an insider tells The Sun.
‘They have fitted it in after he returns from Ibiza and before she heads back to the States.
‘He knows she is emerging into one of the world’s top pop stars and wants to discuss her doing her own Topshop range.’
Not only will a clothing line pitch Leona up against Kate Moss, Victoria Beckham, Lily Allen and a myriad of other stars, but it’s likely to make her lots of money, too.
‘She’s a beautiful girl and a huge star but also has a great girl-next-door quality that means her style will appeal to lots of young women,’ adds the spy.
‘Leona is really excited. I’m sure her bank manager – or should that be Simon Cowell – is too. It will make her an absolute packet.’
