As more women come out of the woodwork alleging affairs with Tiger Woods, and details about his mysterious car crash two weeks ago continue to emerge including that he may have been under the influence of alcohol and subscription drugs at the time, it seems his wife has had enough.

Elin Nordegren has reportedly moved out of the family’s $2.6 million (£1.6 million) home in Windermere, Florida, where the world No 1 golfer is understood to remain in seclusion after revelations of his extra-marital trysts.

According to the celebrity website RadarOnline.com, Ms Nordegren has moved into a house nearby as the couple, who have two young children, try to work on their marriage amid the international headlines about Woods’ ‘transgressions’.

This comes after reports that Woods was urged to confess all to chat show queen Oprah Winfrey.

The golfing star’s team of lawyers and PR advisers are desperate for Woods to spill the beans on Oprah‘s sofa, possibly alongside his devastated wife Elin. A source said: ‘Everyone around him believes it is the only way he will salvage any respect or even attempt to rebuild his family man image.’

The father-of-two had been accused of having affairs with five women – but on Sunday a sixth was named. Cori Rist, 31, was said to have enjoyed a six-month fling with the star after meeting him in a Manhattan club.

A source told the New York Daily News: ‘I remember she was quite attractive. Tiger would typically get a large suite at a hotel and someone would book Cori an adjacent room, so she wouldn’t be seen coming into his room.’

Other women linked to Woods include waitress Mindy Lawton, 34, who claimed they had a one-year affair while his wife Elin was pregnant with their first child. A US tabloid magazine allegedly caught the couple having sex in a car park, it was claimed. But Woods’ management reportedly persuaded the tabloid to withhold the story in return for a cover shoot with its sister magazine, Men’s Fitness.

Meanwhile, New York party planner Rachel Uchitel, 34, is rumoured to have agreed a deal worth up to £1.8million not to release texts and emails sent by Woods during their alleged affair.

For the past week, Woods and wife Elin, 29, have been holed up in their Florida mansion locked in crisis talks after his car smash. Elin is thought to have been offered up to £49million to stand by her husband for another seven years. She could expect a £200million settlement if they divorce.

The new revelations further damage Woods’ carefully-constructed image as a dedicated professional sportsman and family man. Representatives of his numerous sponsors – which include Nike, Gillette and Pepsi – have contacted the star to demand he act to extinguish the flames of bad publicity.
