  • ‘It is better for young women to wear a nice, revealing neckline.’

A Belgian university has been forced to apologise after their ridiculously sexist graduation dress code was leaked.

The Free University of Brussels (ULB) sent an email to students, saying men could wear a suit, while women were advised, ‘From an aesthetic point of view it is better for young women to wear a dress or skirt, and a nice revealing neckline.’

Don’t worry though, they also added that ‘of course, ladies, this advice is not obligatory’ so that was nice of them. Not.

The offensive email was posted on the university confessions page and has been shared over 600 times, with over 3k people reacting to it.

As you can imagine, literally no one was a fan of the message.

The university has since issued an apology, lamenting the email was not a hoax.
