It’s official, this is still the fashion world’s favourite beach bag

If you're looking for a timeless beach bag, I really only one word for you: LOEWE. Whilst there are many other beautiful designs out there, the Spanish luxury brand has managed to serve up the most desirable basket bag out there, and it's still on everyone's wish-list a few seasons on.

Last summer, you were lucky if you could get your hands on it, that's how quickly it would sell out, literally everywhere. It was first launched in three sizes, small, medium and large, with the brand's logo embossed on a brown leather square on the front. Chic, minimal.

It was soon seen on the arms of celebrities and influencers alike, and you too (if you were quick enough) could own this 'it' bag, for as little as £295.

The good news is that not only is it back this season, but it's now availably in a plethora of gorgeous styles, with the logo in deep blue and burnt orange.

Now the basket bag does have some serious competition in the form of Paula's Ibiza tote bag, which comes in bold colours and prints and is selling out fast.

In fact, LOEWE celebrated the launch of its luxe version, the cushion tote, in Ibiza this weekend and guests including Susie Lau, Gala González, Bryan Boy, Gilda Ambrosio, Giorgia Tordini, Evangelie Smyrniotaki (Style Heroine), Chloe Harrouche (Loulou de Saison) were spotted admiring the bags, so you know it's a new cult buy in the making.

Between those two, you've got all your outfit options covered, from beach to office. Shop my favourite options below. Enjoy.

Penny grew up in France and studied languages and law at the Sorbonne Nouvelle University in Paris before moving to the UK for her MA in multimedia journalism at Bournemouth University. She moved to the UK permanently and has never looked back (though she does go back regularly to stock up on cheese and wine).

Although she's always loved fashion - she used to create scrapbooks of her favourite trends and looks, including Sienna Miller and Kate Moss' boho phase - her first job was at MoneySavingExpert.com, sourcing the best deals for everything from restaurants to designer sales.

However she quit after two years to follow her true passion, fashion journalism, and after many years of internships and freelance stints at magazines including Red, Cosmopolitan, Stylist and Good Housekeeping, landed her dream job as the Digital Fashion Editor at Marie Claire UK.

Her favourite part of the job is discovering new brands and meeting designers, and travelling the world to attend events and fashion shows. Seeing her first Chanel runway IRL at Paris Fashion Week was a true pinch-me moment.
