Obsessed With Demna’s Gucci like we are? These Are The Pieces We Can't Wait to Buy
If you missed the initial drop, set your alarms for January
The worst thing about fashion week? Having to wait six months (or more) for the collections to actually land in store. Unless, of course, it’s Demna Gvasalia’s new Gucci collection you’ve got your eye on—in which case, you may have been lucky enough to snap it up already. Yes, the Spring/Summer 2026 collection was available exclusively in ten Gucci stores worldwide, including the London New Bond Street flagship, from 25 September to 12 October. But if you weren't speedy enough, there will be another opportunity to shop in early January.
Clearly, the Italian luxury house is breaking from fashion tradition. Case in point: The Tiger, a short film that debuted Demna’s first pieces for the brand. If you missed it, Demi Moore takes centre stage as Barbara Gucci, joined by a star-studded cast including Elliot Page, Keke Palmer, Alia Shawkat and Kendall Jenner. Naturally, they’re all dressed in Demna’s La Famiglia collection—a line that’s already earned widespread praise across the industry (and beyond).
Think logo-adorned shirts and skirts, statement jackets, and red carpet–ready evening looks, all grounded by refined, new-era accessories. Iconic Gucci canvas knee-high boots, motif belts, and a reimagined Jackie bag headline the lineup—all of which will be available to shop from the beginning of January online and inside all Gucci stores.
The Jackie, of course, remains a cornerstone of Gucci’s accessories archive. Demna’s update stays true to the silhouette’s legacy while introducing subtle, modern tweaks: a sleeker structure, new leather treatments—think grainy textures and luminous calfskin with a soft vintage patina—and a lighter GG canvas rendered in a more supple fabric.
These new Jackie bags, along with the La Famiglia ready-to-wear and accessories, have already captured the attention of collectors. The message from insiders? Invest now, as pieces from Demna's first Gucci collection are certainly considered collector items, marking a key moment in fashion history.
So, mark your calendars for January 2026, as this collection will drop again far earlier than the traditional fashion calendar allows—proof that Demna’s Gucci isn’t just rewriting the rules, but setting its own.
