This season's sell-out statement coat is coming back in stock

A good winter coat is a rare commodity these days, and when you find one, you have to pounce on it, because everyone else clearly does.

John Lewis & Partners recently launched a chic and colourful double faced collar coat, and after being spotted on influencers like Rosie Londoner, Erica Davies, Alexis Foreman & Megan Taylor, naturally it sold out.

However, the good news is that it's being re-stocked in October, so people can click the "email me when available" option and they will be the first to know when they are back in stock.

The coat comes in three colours: a classic camel, or if you're feeling a little more daring, a sky blue and raspberry pink too.

Whilst the camel will obviously go with everything, I'd suggest investing in the more colourful pieces, that are a bit more on-trend for right now.

As to who to style them, try and keep it tonal. The head-to-toe same shade is very big right now, as is colour-blocking.

Penny grew up in France and studied languages and law at the Sorbonne Nouvelle University in Paris before moving to the UK for her MA in multimedia journalism at Bournemouth University. She moved to the UK permanently and has never looked back (though she does go back regularly to stock up on cheese and wine).

Although she's always loved fashion - she used to create scrapbooks of her favourite trends and looks, including Sienna Miller and Kate Moss' boho phase - her first job was at MoneySavingExpert.com, sourcing the best deals for everything from restaurants to designer sales.

However she quit after two years to follow her true passion, fashion journalism, and after many years of internships and freelance stints at magazines including Red, Cosmopolitan, Stylist and Good Housekeeping, landed her dream job as the Digital Fashion Editor at Marie Claire UK.

Her favourite part of the job is discovering new brands and meeting designers, and travelling the world to attend events and fashion shows. Seeing her first Chanel runway IRL at Paris Fashion Week was a true pinch-me moment.
