And we want IN
It all started with the burnt orange Mango trousers. They were all over my Instagram feed, and all of a sudden, literally everyone was wearing corduroys. Yes cords, as in the fabric you thought you could only wear if you thought maths in high school. If there ever was a time to rethink your view on them, this is it – turns out they’ve never been more covetable.
Mango’s high rise wide leg trousers were the surprise street style hit of the new season, and influencers went all out, teaming it with its matching blazer, teamed with brogues or boots for that extra preppy feel.
They’re still available to buy, but I reckon they will sell out fast, so if you want in on it, you better act now.
Since then, cords, in many guises, have made daily appearances on my social feeds. There have been pink cord suits (hi Caroline Issa in Desert Mannequin), corduroy hats (as seen on Caro Daur), skirts, blazers (hi Freddie Harrel) and corduroy dresses.
With that in mind, here are a few pieces I’ll be adding to my cords wishlist.
