Is this the definition of dyers remorse?

We’ve all been there. You look in the mirror at your beautiful, luscious hair and decide it’s time to screw it all up.

For some of us, this involves a pair of scissors, for others, it's a bottle of bleach and some rubber gloves. Before you know it, you’ve stripped your hair of all its natural glory and feel like a new you.

For Miley, this signified her transition from sweet Disney girl to fully-fledged badass.

But in a recent post from Instagram, the Wrecking Ball singer came to the realisation that what she got from her mama was pretty special. Needless to say, this resulted in her lamenting her peroxided ‘do in a grand Instagram rant.

‘Learned a valuable lesson in this meaningless process. Bleached my f***ing natural healthy a$$ hair rebelling out of boredom while dealing with... time off ... with nothing to do," she wrote. ‘I should've just appreciated [it]... something inside told me I'd regret it. That hair color comes in a box (well maybe mine) therefore it's available to purchase and what grows from my scalp naturally is mine and only mine!’

She also chastised herself for caring so much in the first place.

‘I felt like a self-obsessed psycho,’ she continued. ‘While real issues are out there in the world needing to be dealt with, I was sitting in front of a mirror going thru [sic] strand by strand like my hair and what it looks like actually f***ing matters! lol and now I'm out here looking like every Suzy Q & Sally B there is...’

But getting deep about her roots wasn’t the only thing that had us enthralled with her post. She also led to speculation that she might actually just get a buzz cut.

‘Either this shit needs to grow out at super speed or I'm about to go in for a f***ing hair cut realllllll quick!!!’

Girl, we’ve been there, felt that. Just let it grow, let grow…
