Samantha Cameron gives fashion recycling a go, wearing Jonathan Saunders for a second political engagement
It seems Kate Middleton isn’t the only one fond of a little fashion recycling every now and then, as Samantha Cameron worked a style re-run yesterday for lunch with the Queen.
Sam Cam wore a pretty cotton-twill dress by Scottish designer Jonathan Saunders for a luncheon at No.10 Downing Street to celebrate Prince Philip’s 90th birthday, alongaide husband David Cameron and the Queen.
But it was a case of ‘haven’t we spotted this somewhere before?’ as Samantha flaunted her frugal side by wearing the same dress she donned for a summer barbeque with President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle during the American couple's European tour in May.
In what’s becoming a mini-trend, Kate Middleton attended a church service last weekend - also to mark Prince Philip’s 90th birthday - wearing the same cornflower blue brocade dress coat that she wore to friend Nicholas van Cutsem’s wedding in 2009, over the top of a pleated Zara dress, which she donned the day after her own nuptials.
Long let the thriftiness continue.
