Luxury jeweller Bentley & Skinner are renting out Lady Mary's original 45-carat diamond wedding tiara

Downton Abbey fans, it's time to get very excited.

Lady Mary's 45-carat diamond wedding tiara (yes, the exact original) is now available to rent from London-based jeweller Bentley & Skinner.

Worn by Michelle Dockery herself during the series two Christmas special, the glitzy garland was the star of the show when the future Mrs Crawley strode down that wedding aisle to marry her long-time love, Matthew. (Sob).

Described on the luxury jeweller's site as a 'Georgian diamond tiara' boasting 'a spray of leaves and floral clusters, pavé-set throughout with old-cut diamonds', the Downton Abbey scene-stealer can also be converted into two brooches.

But Lady Mary-style glamour doesn't come cheap – with a hire price of £1,250 a day (plus a £125,000 deposit), the pricey period piece won't be affordable to the masses.

Also up for grabs on Bentley & Skinner's hire site is Dame Maggie Smith's tiara from the same episode, with an even heftier daily rental sum of £5,700.

Still, for the chance to sparkle like aristocracy for the day, we say it's well worth the investment.
