Ronnie Wood shows off 20-year-old girlfriend on red carpet
Ronnie Wood and his 20-year-old Russian lover Ekaterina Ivanova made their first public appearance together this week at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
The Rolling Stone whisked his young girlfriend off to Cleveland, Ohio, for the event, where she may well have struggled to recognise a host of legends, who all hit the music scene way before her time.
Guests included Wanda Jackson, who started off playing alongside Elvis Presley and Johnny Cash, old-school rocker Jeff Beck, who was inducted into the Hall of Fame by Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page, and hip hop legends Run DMC.
Being inducted into the Hall of Fame is a great honour for musicians, who are picked by 600 voters from a pool of performers, and who are only eligible 25 years after their first record was released.
Tables at the event cost as much as $50,000 each, with another 5,000 fans packing up the balconies.
Ronnie and Ekaterina – dressed in a white mini and purple wedges – seemed to have a fine time, drinking and laughing with fellow guests.
The ageing rocker struck up an affair with the former cocktail waitress in the summer of 2008, behind his wife of 23 years, Jo’s, back.
The former couple – who have two children together, Leah, 30, and Tyrone, 25 – are now proceeding with a divorce.
