New Bond film to be called Quantum of Solace
The title of the new Bond film has been revealed, and it is Quantum of Solace.
Taken from the title of a short story written by Bond creator Ian Fleming in 1960, the name was revealed today at a press conference. Journalists were also treated to a one-minute trailer of the film, which included a scene of Daniel Craig swinging from a rope to escape an art gallery explosion in Italy.
Producer Michael Wilson described the film as having ‘twice as much action’ as Daniel Craig’s Bond debut, Casino Royale, and revealed that the story would start literally one hour from when the last film finished.
Also at the event, new Bond girl, 21-year old Gemma Arterton described her experience of filming her first scenes, and commented, ‘I felt like a giggly girl, and I felt so young and inexperienced – but I kissed James Bond!’
The film is due for release on 7th November.
