It’s said bosses are desperate to sign the Hollywood beauty – who’s already being tipped for an Oscar for her role in upcoming ballet thriller, Black Swan – alongside director Darren Aronofsky, after Ben Affleck dropped out of the directing role.

‘They wanted her first time around, this time they can get her – with Darren,’ one insider told film site, Moviehole of Natalie’s role, adding that they had ‘nothing on paper yet.’

The remake of the classic flick – reportedly titled Man of Steel – is set to be a star-studded affair, and could be produced by Christopher Nolan, of Batman fame.

The main man is yet to be announced, but it’s thought Mad Men star Jon Hamm could step into the shoes as the famous superhero.
