  • Michelle Obama getting waxed

Michelle Obama is the latest personality to get her very own waxwork at Madame Tussauds.

The first lady of the United States is being immortalised by the wax museum, and the figure will be unveiled in March – after six months of work by designers who’ve studied videos and photos of Michelle to ensure it’s the spitting image of her.

‘As our nation’s first African-American first lady, a proud working mum and budding style icon, Mrs Obama is a role model to women around the corner and around the globe,’ stated the general manager of the museum.

The finished piece will be displayed next to the waxy statue of her husband, President Barack Obama, in a replica of the Oval Office.
