X Factor beauty pulls out all the stops
Last night X Factor superstar Leona Lewis wowed the crowds at her first ever solo concert.
Performing at the Hackney empire – where she first took to the stage as a teenager – the starlet appeared in a black cape and hood, which she threw off to reveal a sassy puffball dress with cinched in waist and killer heels.
Leona made her dramatic entrance amid plumes of smoke, with giant images of herself projected on a see-through screen at the front of the stage.
She was also surrounded by a team of scantily clad male dancers throughout the performance. Ooo-er!
Putting on a show-stopping display of confidence after her recent book-signing ordeal – during which she was punched by a fan – Ms. Lewis appeared on top form.
The emotional Bleeding Love star thanked fans, saying ‘I just want to say thank you so much for coming to support me.
‘The first time I ever performed here I was 13 so it seemed fitting for me to come back here.’
Although perhaps Leona was slightly worried about nerves taking hold, as concert-goers noticed she had written the show’s running order on the inside of her hand!
Luckily everything went off without a hitch, and she was rewarded with a standing ovation at the end.
Well-done Leona!
