Kristen Stewart reveals she’s heading On the Road for new film role

    While Twilight fans have been getting all excited by news that Breaking Dawn has finally got a release date – 18 November 2011, for all you Twi-hards – Kristen Stewart is already looking to life beyond the franchise, and has revealed she is set to star in an adaptation of On the Road.

    Speaking to USA Today, the actress confirmed her role in the film of Jack Kerouac’s iconic 1957 novel, commenting: ‘I am very much attached to a movie that has been trying to get made forever.’

    ‘Not that this is going to help it, but maybe I can just brag a little bit’ she added. ‘I am super excited about it, too. I am about to play Marylou in ‘On the Road.’ So that’s a big deal.’

    Filling is expected to start this summer, and will see Ms Stewart star alongside Brit actor Sam Riley and Garrett Hedland, while The Motorcycle Diaries’ Walter Salles will direct.
