  • What gets under Gordon Ramsay's skin? Women drivers, French women and American police, apparently

GORDON RAMSAY SHOCKED the audience on a US TV show after launching a scathing attack on French women, women drivers and American police.

The 40-year-old chef made an promotional appearance on the hit US programme, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno – and shocked everyone when he let rip with his offensive opinions.

First up, French women were in the firing line. He told the host: ‘I had a French girlfriend. It was like going to bed with a rottweiler on your chest… and their breath smells as well.’

Gordon, who moved to Paris at 23 to train at the Restaurant Guy Savoy, described the locals as ‘difficult to work with’.

But his disdain wasn’t just reserved for French women – he also took the opportunity to complain about women drivers.

He said: ‘They just drive a little bit too slow, don’t they? They’re always looking in the mirror. Look at the road! That way there will be less accidents.’

And he didn’t stop there. American police also received a tongue-lashing, as he described them as ‘cranky’, adding: ‘They’re so miserable. They need to liven up a bit.’

Ramsay was on the programme to promote his show, Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares.
