  • Eva Longoria banned from getting pregnant by Desperate Housewives boss

IF NEWLY-WEDS Eva Longoria and Tony Parker were planning on expanding their family now they’ve tied the knot, they can think again.

Longoria’s Desperate Housewives boss, Marc Cherry, has banned the star and her French basketball player husband from making babies meaning the couple, who married in July, will have to wait over a year before they can start planning a family.

Cherry told the actress who plays Gabrielle in the show, that if she gets pregnant it would destroy the show’s plotline.

Longoria said of her character: ‘Gabrielle can do anything and go anywhere because she doesn’t have kids and she’s not limited. When she’s in these love triangles, I think she’s a true representation of what some women go through. I love all the exciting adventures she goes on.’ Clearly any sign of a baby bump would put a stop to Gabrielle’s ventures.

The ban appears not to have troubled the actress: ‘Tony and I are excited about starting a family, but because Marc has forbidden me to get pregnant this year we’re going to spend time as a married couple and build a solid foundation together before we bring our child into the world.’
