  • Beckham wants to leave LA, but what will Posh say?

David Beckham has confirmed for the first time that he wants to leave LA for a permanant move to Milan.

The footballer said that negotiations have begun with Los Angeles Galaxy to allow him to stay at AC Milan.

His loan to the Italian club was due to end on 8 March but David has made it very clear that he wishes to end his career in the fashion capital.

After a game last night he said his time in Milan had exceeded all his expectations and he hoped staying there would bolster his chances of making it into the England squad.

‘I haven’t spoken to [Fabio Capello] yet but he’s been to see me play at the San Siro and I hope I’m involved when he names the squad for the match against Spain on Saturday.

‘However, that’s not the main reason for me wanting to stay with Milan. They’re one of the biggest clubs in the world and playing with these players has been an incredible experience.

‘It’s even better than I thought it would be. I’ve been welcomed incredibly well and made to feel at home and that’s made me want to stay.’

But what will Victoria have to say?

There’s no doubt that she’s adjusted well to life in LA, not only has she carved a successful career as a fashion designer, she’s bagged herself some A-list gal pals like Eva Longoria and Kate Beckinsale, but it doesn’t seem she’ll have too much to grumble about if the move to Milan goes ahead.

‘I am happy, because I know David is happy in Milan,’ she previously told La Gazzetta Dello Sport. ‘It’s wonderful to see he has already scored some goals, I jump for joy when he scores.’

‘I know many people here, especially from the world of fashion: Dolce and Gabbana, Armani and his staff, Cavalli, Berardi. The city is vibrant and full of energy and passion. You always eat well, there is no reason not to appreciate Milan.’
