  • Cat Deeley considering return from the States to front Hell’s Kitchen

Cat Deeley is being lined up as the new presenter of Hell’s Kitchen, after Angus Deayton’s sharp exit.

The 32-year-old is said to be top of Granada’s wish-list, and the blonde host is thought to be considering returning from the States – where she earns a whopping £3.5 million a year as the presenter of So You Think You Can Dance – for the role.

A Hollywood source told the Daily Mail: ‘Cat is really excited about the chance to present such a big programme, even if it means she has to leave America for a few months.

‘She knows how popular and successful Hell’s Kitchen is and she thinks this could really be the show that makes her an even bigger name.

‘There are meetings going on right now so an announcement will be made pretty imminently.’

The last host, Angus Deayton, was reportedly let go over a string of bust-ups with chef Marco Pierre White.

Filming of the new show starts next month.
