Boris Becker proposes to 24-year-old girlfriend
After dating a series of look-a-like women for years, Boris Becker has finally found his game, set and match – and has proposed to his beautiful 24-year-old girlfriend.
The 40-year-old three-time Wimbledon champion popped the question to Alessandra ‘Sandy’ Meyer-Wolden – the daughter of his late manager Axel Meyer-Wolden who died in 1997– on holiday in Sardinia at the weekend.
The stunning jewellery designer said last night in Germany: ‘I didn’t know anything about it, I was totally surprised.’
The strawberry-blond tennis ace served up a ring with two diamonds. ‘One represents Boris and one represents me,’ Sandy explained.
The newly-engaged pair are now flying to New York to plan their wedding.
Boris married Barbara Feltus in 1993 and the couple had two sons, Noah Gabriel, 14, and Elias Balthasar, 8, before they separated acrimoniously in 2001 when it was revealed that Boris had fathered a child with model Angela Ermakova after a brief sexual encounter in a London hotel broom cupboard in 2000.
