Amy's final recording, a duet with Tony Bennett, will be released as a charity single
Amy Winehouse’s final recording, a duet with Tony Bennett, will be released as a charity single with proceeds going to a foundation set up in her name.
The pair recorded the duet Body and Soul at London’s Abbey Road Studio in March. It is believed to be the last song she made before she died on July 23rd.
Bernett has said: ‘What’s going to happen is that we’re putting that [Body and Soul] out ahead of the album.
‘And it’s going to a foundation that her father started – to teach all the young children not to take drugs, and all the royalties of the record will go to that.’
The legendary singer added: ‘That’s right, that was the last record she made. It was great. She sang beautifully.’
Amy’s dad Mitch is trying to establish a rehab centre in his late daughters honour and has been calling on the government to help.
