Our very own beauty director Lisa Oxenham jetted off to Istanbul in search of the latest beauty innovation, here's a sneak peek...

For Crème de la Mer’s biggest skincare launch in years, we were flown over to the magical spot where east meets west in Istanbul.

I stayed at the luxurious Four Season’s Hotel on the Bospherous, surrounded by the ocean, which is key to Max Huber’s creation 40 years ago and at the heart of the Creme de la Mer brand. Their latest miracle - out on the shelves in September - is all very hush, hush and I’m sworn to secrecy, but what I will say is that I’ve been using it for two weeks now and I can tell you it’ll change your skin forever. We were bathed, scrubbed and massaged at the hammam in the historic city, bartered through the bazaars and returned with eye amulets that offer protection against evil spirits.

We then celebrated by partying at the Kucuksu Palace on the water with whirling dervishes and fireworks.

It was a press trip to be remembered and one Huber would have been proud of.

Look out for Crème de la Mer’s big launch in September.
