The Kill Bill star’s home sold for way over the asking price, and after seeing the inside pictures we can understand why…

After putting her Lower Manhattan home on the open market just six months ago, Uma Thurman's five-bedroom duplex has sold this month for £5.2 million, considerably more than the £4.9 million asking price, and nearly £2 million more than she originally paid for it.

The pre-war apartment is an interior design fanatic’s dream, a 2800 square foot space with five bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms (though we're not quite sure what 0.5 of a bathroom consists of - half a bath, perhaps?) while its location, Lexington Avenue, is one of Manhattan’s most sought–after property spots.

The building, built in 1910 by famed architect Hebert Lucas, is a pretty prestigious place, with A-list occupants, concierge service and some of the best views in the Big Apple, with each apartment boasting a terrace balcony overlooking Gramercy Park.

So what's on your dream apartment wish list? A library? A Turkish bath? A marble fireplace? A powder room? An antique pull-chain toilet?

Uma's apartment ticks off the entire list. And it could have been yours… if you'd had a spare £5.2 million.

It looks like we’ll just have to make do with gazing at the listing pictures for now and picking up some new #interiorsgoals.

The lucky new owner of Uma's apartment can enjoy 10ft high ceilings, walnut counters, crown moldings and a mix of oak herringbone and hardwood floors. There's also a neo-classical style marble fireplace set off by a scattering of Chanel cushions (though Uma might take those with her when she moves – we would).

And never mind the library and entry gallery, the formal dining room is the real selling-point of the house (if you'll excuse our estate agent speak) with double French doors on one side leading onto the Gramercy Park terrace and the grand staircase on the opposite end which leads upstairs to even more dreamy interiors porn.

Upstairs in the Manhattan Duplex of Dreams are three bedrooms, spacious walk-in wardrobes and a luxury bathroom set-up that is giving us serious shower envy. Of course there's marble everything and heated slate stone floors, as well as an oversized spa modelled on a Turkish steam bath.

If all this didn’t sound good enough, the luxury apartment comes with a New York rarity: a personal key to Gramercy park.

Oh to be loaded enough to afford it. We hope the new owner enjoys it. We're off for a little cry now.

Hats off to the listing agents Robby Browne & Chris Kann, Corcoran Group.
