It's too cute

It's rare to see interviews given by the Duchess of Cambridge but she gave a frank one in ITV documentary Our Queen at 90 and the world is freaking out because the more details we know, the more adorable life at the palace sounds. Plus, we're obviously all a little bit more obsessed with Her Majesty since watching Claire Foy play the Queen in Netflix series The Crown.

In the interview, Kate Middleton goes on to admit how delighted the Queen was to become a grandmother again last May:

'The Queen was very pleased that she was a girl. The Queen is very fond of Charlotte and takes an interest in what she gets up to.'

The Duchess of Cambridge then went on to describe what sleepovers are like for George, 3, and Charlotte, 1, when they visit their grandmother at the palace - and it's super cute.

'Every time we stay with her, she leaves a little gift for George and Charlotte in their rooms. I think that just goes to show her love for [the children] and for the family,' Kate revealed.

The Duchess of Cambridge also opened up about how the Queen has been an incredible support to her, especially at the beginning when she was adjusting to life in the public eye as a princess.

'She's been a gentle guidance. The most memorable day for me was during a visit to Leicester. I went without William so I was a little apprehensive. Everyone in the family teases me because I spend far too much time chatting than I should. So I do have a lot to learn still, I suppose...' said Kate.

'But that day, the Queen took time to make sure I was happy and looked after on that occasion. Again, that shows just how caring she is really.'

Aww!
