Peaches Geldof returns to London after Vegas wedding
Peaches Geldof has returned to London following her surprise Las Vegas wedding, without her husband Max Drummey.
Clearly eschewing a honeymoon, the 19-year-old newlywed was back in the capital, and seemed happy to show off her wedding ring to waiting press.
Leaving her Islington flat, Geldof walked to a waiting car with her hand close to her face, clearly showing off a sapphire diamond ring on her wedding finger.
Her only comment was, ‘I’m very happy.’
She has left Drummey in the US, reportedly on the instruction of her frustrated father Bob Geldof, who contrary to the glowing press release is said to not be happy about the quickie nuptials.
Peaches married the 23-year-old musician in Las Vegas last week. The couple wed in a 15-minute ceremony at the Little White Chapel.
The Reverend that married them told press, ‘They held hands and looked eye-to-eye – with him still wearing sunglasses. They looked very happy. The bride looked very young and pale and quite angelic. They didn’t bring any friends as witnesses so the photographer had to stand in.’
With Peaches return to the UK, there is growing speculation that the wedding was a publicity stunt. Drummey’s band Chester French set to release an album imminently and are currently touring in America.
