The Duchess of Cambridge revealed the well-kept secret on a charity visit to Rose Hill primary school
Kate Middleton has revealed the name of her and Prince William’s new cocker spaniel puppy.
The Duchess of Cambridge let slip the chosen name of her pet pooch when talking to a group of children during her visit to Rose Hill primary school in Oxford yesterday.
Drum roll please…
She and Wills have decided to call their dog Lupo, which means ‘wolf’ in Italian.
Palace aides previously refused to reveal the name, saying that it was an invasion of the couple’s privacy, but they have now confirmed the puppy is called Lupo and added: ‘There is no significance in it apart from they liked the name.’
People are obviously very excited by this news and yesterday evening someone had even ‘hilariously’ set Lupo up with his own Twitter account – @HRH_Lupo.
Aside from letting the puppy secret slip, Kate was her usual charming and beautiful self as she met and chatted to children at two schools in Oxford as part of her role as patron of The Art Room charity.
