The American designer explained why he's made it a rule to only dress one woman each year for the Oscars
Tom Ford will be following his usual rule of only dressing one woman for the Oscars this Sunday - and now we know why.
The dapper designer appeared on US chat show Jimmy Kimmel Live on Wednesday night and dished about why he's so exclusive when it comes to awards shows.
Apparently, he just doesn't love the process of dressing actresses for big events.
'It's not a creative process, dressing actresses for the Oscars,' he said. 'When you're designing, you figure out what you believe in or what you think the world need right now.
'When you're dressing actress... they have a preconceived notion of what they want to wear, what they want to look like how they're marketing this film. And you're kind of just making something for them that isn't particlary creative.'
Ford stressed that he'll only dress one woman for the big night. (Apparently every Brad, Leo and Jared can wear a Tom Ford tux because men are just that much easier to work with.)
