The latest detail in Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s custody arrangements sounds pretty complicated

Despite filing for divorce three years ago, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt‘s separation has been a messy one, with the couple finally announced to be single this year after choosing to ‘bifurcate’ their marriage.

The move allows both parties to have a ‘single’ status while continuing with divorce proceedings, rather than remain to be legally bound as they have been these past three years.

It was the custody of their children however that has made the most news.

While Angelina Jolie currently looks after the children, it has been reported that Brad will eventually get 50-50 joint custody and it is thought that their six children will keep their hyphenated last names.

It emerged this week how the former couple were sharing the custody of their children over summer - and it sounds pretty complicated.

Brad and Angelina have reportedly set a co-parenting schedule, enabling their children to spend their summer across two cities, New Mexico where Ange is filming her new movie and LA where Brad lives.

'The kids will be back and forth to Los Angeles to see Brad,’ a source confirmed to Us Weekly.

The source continued: ‘It's a very healthy situation, and Brad is grateful that all of the animosity is in the past.’

We will continue to update this story.
