Private pair Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz made their red carpet debut last night, putting in a show-stopping appearance at the Madrid premiere of Daniel's dramatic new movie, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

The shy couple, who are rarely spotted out and about together, posed only for a few photos, before Daniel joined his castmates in front of the cameras.

Showing off her super-slim figure in a form-fitting black dress, Rachel seemed unsure about stopping to be snapped, but was persuaded by her smitten other half, smiling up at him for several seconds before turning her attention to the camers, and then making her exit.

The couple took Hollywood by surprise by marrying in a super-secret New York ceremony in front of just a handful of friends in June, just six-months after it was reported they were a couple.

Despite their whirlwind romance, insiders claimed the couple were 'madly in love,' but wanted to cement their relationship away from the glare of the media spotlight.

'Daniel and Rachel insisted on having a small, quiet wedding,' one source reportedly told the News of the World.

'They are madly in love and couldn't wait to be husband and wife - but they wanted minimum fuss.’

Daniel and Rachel  first met in a play together in 1994 and were reunited  on the set of 2011 flick the Dream House.

Rumous that the pair had begun dating first surfaced last Christmas, after Rachel split from Black Swan director fiancé, Darren Aronovsky and Daniel parted ways with fiancée Satsuki Mitchell.

And just weeks later, the Hollywood pair were spotted cosying up during a romantic stroll through the Dorset countryside.
