Britney hit-and-run police visit

Britney turns herself in at police station

BRITNEY SPEARS TURNED herself in at a police station in Los Angeles yesterday to be booked on hit-and-run charges.

The singer arrived at the Van Nuys Community Police Station at 9pm and spent around 45 minutes inside while officers booked her for driving without a valid California driver license and the hit-and-run incident, when Britney allegedly bumped another car in a car park, which happened during August.

Los Angeles Police Department spokesman Mike Lopez confirmed Britney’s visit to the station on the charges, which each carry a maximum penalty of six months in jail or a $1,000 fine.
