Discover what shoppers around the world are buying with Net-a-porter’s highly addictive new function
Net-a-porter.com has always been at the forefront of digital innovation, but its latest gadget is surely its most addictive.
The new Net-a-porter Live functionality allows you to snoop through the virtual shopping bags of the e-boutique’s customers around the world from the privacy of your own computer.
The web page displays a shifting picture of the globe with Net-a-porter shopping bags popping up over the countries - think Australia, Japan, Russia, Sweden, Greece, the UK and the US to name a few - every time a customer adds something to their shopping bag, adds it to their wishlist or shares it with a friend through the luxury website.
It also tells you how many people are shopping live - 14,501 when we took a peek – with a sliding bar down the right hand column of the screen with more detailed info about the items bought, hoping to tempt you to do the same.
The system is apparently based on a plasma screen that featured a map of the world to display live global sales activity at Net-a-porter’s headquarters in London.
Trust us, it’s highly addictive. Visit the Net-a-porter website to take a look, don't forget to add a Net-A-Porter discount code at checkout.
