According to the publication, Prince William has already 'informally' told Mahiki nightclub impresario Guy that he will be godfather to Prince George, with a source telling the newspaper:
'He is thrilled to bits about being picked and everyone was congratulating him.
'He's been told informally by the prince. Guy's been a very discreet and good friend to William over the years. Those are qualities he wants to pass to George.'
The paper also reports that Prince William and Duchess Kate will be sticking to royal tradition and choosing a whopping SIX godparents for the newest royal.
In addition to Prince Harry and Pippa Middleton, friends rumoured to be picked for the role include Alicia Fox-Pitt, a friend of Kate's from school, James Meade and William's friend Thomas Van Straubenzee.

It is thought that Prince George's christening will be taking place this autumn and that it will be a 'private' affair with close friends, family and godparents in attendance.
In line with tradition, Prince George will be wearing a replica of the lace royal family gown first worn by Queen Victoria's eldest daughter.
